Recently, a group of 10 people from our group's corporate delegation arrived in Hetian, Xinjiang, and began a one-week visit. On the first day of arrival in Hotan, they visited the Airport Logistics Park, the Food Industry Industrial Park and local tourism resources. Liu Feng, deputy mayor of Hetian, received the group and participated in the symposium. Hetian area is one of the five regions of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is located in Nanxun, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and borders Kunlun Mountain and Tibet Autonomous Region in the south. It is a typical inland arid area. It is located in the hinterland of Eurasia and belongs to arid and desert climate. There are 36 large and small rivers. It is a region rich in light energy resources in China. It is rich in mineral resources and famous for its rich production of Hetian jade. It is a famous jade town, silk town, carpet capital and hometown of fruits and fruits.

Not long ago, the production and marketing of special agricultural products in the deep poverty-stricken areas of southern Xinjiang was held for the first time in Hotan City, Xinjiang. 58 wholesale market distributors, e-commerce and business enterprises from 10 provinces and cities across the country, and 63 agricultural products in the southern Xinjiang. Production and processing enterprises and cooperatives carry out negotiations and cooperation, and the agricultural product market has achieved accurate docking, which has greatly expanded the sales of specialty agricultural products.

The local government stated that “Hetian has unique climate, light and hot soil conditions, and the characteristic agricultural products have unique qualities. The characteristic agricultural products sold in the past market mainly come from the northern Xinjiang region. In the past two years, the production and marketing docking activities have entered Nanjiang. The more buyers have established channels to the southern Xinjiang region, which not only drives the sales of specialty agricultural products in southern Xinjiang, but also further enriches the market supply and makes Xinjiang specialty agricultural products more competitive."

The Hetian area has abundant water and solar resources and is far away from industrial pollution. It is very suitable for the development of green agriculture and characteristic forestry and fruit industry. Hetian jade jujube, thin skin walnut and other famous special products are well-known throughout the country. In recent years, based on its own characteristics, the Hetian area has cultivated a number of products represented by “Hetian jade jujube” and “thin skin walnut” according to the requirements of “features, green, scale and brand”, and won the title of Xinjiang Famous Brand Product. The influence of agricultural products is constantly improving.

Li Jianjun, the chairman of our group, said that “the specialty fresh fruit products produced in Hotan and surrounding areas can be used to obtain a broader market with the help of future precision docking activities.” After that, our group representatives also visited the local shantytown renovation site and strolled on the folk street. The unique ethnic style buildings are neatly arranged, the roads are flat and straight, and the ethnic handicrafts and other specialties in the shops on both sides are dazzling. Not only retains the original style, but also integrates modern architectural styles and management methods. The Hetian area focuses on creating folk customs streets, which gives the old town a new vitality.

“After the demolition of the shanty towns in this area, we plan to use them as an ecological land and an extension of the adjacent school,” said the local housing bureau staff. The implementation of shantytown renovation has also stimulated the development of the industry. “The implementation of shantytowns to cultivate and develop new economic growth points has stimulated domestic demand, promoted local economic development, and promoted the financial, insurance, and manufacturing industries. The Hetian City Reconstruction Project also attaches great importance to the protection of cultural characteristics. It not only develops the industry, but also protects the traditional culture of Uyghur. Hetian will be built into a tourist destination. At the end of the visit, our group and the reception team of Hotan City attended the symposium. The participants included regional escorts, representatives of the Hetian Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Natural Resources Bureau, the Cultural Tourism Bureau, the Market Supervision Administration, and the Eco-Environment Bureau. At the meeting, the two sides conducted in-depth and extensive exchanges on the cooperation between the two sides, and determined the direction of cooperation, that is, complementary advantages, for the economic development of ethnic areas and for the investment in poverty alleviation in poverty-stricken counties in Hotan.
