On December 10, 2018, our group was invited to attend the China-Tanzania “Belt and Road” Mining Investment Forum jointly organized by the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Ministry of Mines of the United Republic of Tanzania. The forum aims to introduce and interpret Tanzania's latest mining investment policies and mining investment opportunities to relevant Chinese companies, and at the same time build a cooperation platform for Zhongtan Mining's companies to create a new future for Sino-Tanzania Mining Investment Cooperation.

At the forum, Tanzanian Ambassador to China Mbelva Keruki, Tanzanian Union Minister of Mines Angela Keruki and China’s Deputy Minister of Natural Resources Ling Yueming delivered speeches respectively, many representatives from mining enterprises and related enterprises in China and Tanzania. More than 200 people attended the forum.

In her speech, Angela Keruki said that since 1965, China and Tanzania have established friendly relations of cooperation and win-win. As of 2017, China has invested in 723 projects in Tanzania, valued at 5.96 billion US dollars, but At present, China has less investment in the mining industry in Tanzania. Tanzania is rich in mineral resources and encourages mining investment and development. It is believed that China's investment in mining in Tanzania is one of the most reliable ways to build future friendly relations and will further consolidate the existing existing relationship between the two countries.

Mbelva Keruki said that after the Beijing Summit of the 2018 China-Africa Cooperation Forum and the first China International Import Expo, Tanzania is actively seeking investment cooperation with China. The forum has created a platform for the implementation of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum The “Action” and “Belt and Road” initiatives are of practical significance.

China has become Tanzania's largest source of investment. In the fields of infrastructure and manufacturing, there is a huge space for cooperation between the two countries in the mining industry.
