In June 2016, it was a day worth remembering in the history of Yulin's energy-producing industry. The technology of extending the comprehensive integration and development of coal, oil and gas synthesis technology and industrial application reached the international leading level. This technology breaks through the traditional production concept and engineering mode of single coal or natural gas methanol, which means that the comprehensive utilization and deep conversion technology of Yulin coal oil and gas resources is the world leader.

In recent years, a new coal-to-liquid technology with a number of independent intellectual property rights has been applied in Yulin. Shaanxi Future Energy Chemical Company has built the world's first indirect liquefaction-based oil project of millions of tons of coal, leading the international level of technical equipment; The first set of 450,000 tons of kerosene co-refining demonstration project has created a new technical route for coal-to-liquids; the comprehensive utilization technology such as “Jinlin version of coal-to-liquid” is internationally leading. A large number of the world's leading energy deep conversion projects, such as coal-to-olefins and the world's first 10,000-ton methanol-based aromatics, have successfully operated, and a number of key technologies such as pulverized coal pyrolysis have made major breakthroughs, reaching international and domestic leading levels.

Relying on advanced industrial technology, Yulin will focus on promoting 7 major energy projects in 2018, with a total investment of more than 200 billion yuan, which will greatly promote the construction of Yulin Energy and Chemical Industry Base and lead the energy and chemical industry to the "high end" of the industrial chain. . After 20 years of development, Yulin Energy and Chemical Industry Base has truly formed a development model of “big group leadership, large project support, cluster development, and park-based carrying”. At present, Yulin has built 15 energy-producing parks such as Yushen Industrial Park, Yuheng Industrial Park and Jingbian Nenghua Park, which laid the foundation for the stable development of Yulin Coal Chemical Industry and has become an important engine to support Shaanxi to catch up.

In accordance with the requirements of ecological priority, orderly development, standardized development, and total quantity control, Yulin will coordinate regional resource supply, environmental capacity, industrial base and other factors, adopting industrial parks, large-scale installations, and diversified products to focus on creating one. The strategic layout of the nuclear two-wing multi-park, the construction of a coal-based chemical core drive growth pole, the construction of two coal-based polymer production bases, the base built scale, technical equipment are in the forefront of the country.
