Our group invites the Cambodian government to negotiate port construction projects.

2018-12-26

Recently, our group arrived at the local government at the invitation of the Cambodian government to inspect the port construction project. Sihanouk is the largest seaport city in Cambodia and the second largest city outside the capital, Phnom Penh. It has the only China-Cambodia national economy recognized by China and Cambodia. The SAR has a status similar to that of China's "Shenzhen." As a prosperous city following the Phnom Penh, the government attaches great importance to it. At present, the construction and development of tourism, transportation, ports and other aspects are developing at a rapid pace, and there is an urgent need for projects in port construction.

According to feedback from local tourism officials, in the whole year of 2016, Sihanoukville received more than 2.4 million tourists and created a tourism income of US$96 million for the province. According to the report of the Tourism Work Conference for the first quarter of 2017, in the first quarter of 2017, the proportion of tourists to Sihanoukville increased by 11.64%, the most of which were Chinese tourists. Sihanoukville flights also increased by 162% compared to 2016, especially for direct flights from China.

As we all know, Westport is a very precious pearl on the southwestern coastline of Cambodia. As an emerging island tourism hotspot, its scenery and beaches are no less than Maldives and Palau. Its islands are as quiet as paradise, and there are French-style buildings, all attracting more tourists. At present, various government departments in Cambodia are working hard to explore the development potential of Sihanoukville and vigorously promote the construction of various infrastructures in Sihanoukville. In addition to port construction, there are also international standard airports, international standard railway stations, highways, etc. .

According to a report by Westport, in 2015, Westport’s net profit reached US$45 million, maintaining a four-year growth rate. The completion of the Securities Commission of the Cambodian Securities Commission (SECC) requires listed companies to remain profitable for three consecutive years. In 2016, Westport's cargo throughput reached 400,086 standard containers, an increase of 2.1% compared to 2015. The representative of the Cambodia Securities Commission confirmed on March 30, 2017 that the committee had received an application for the initial public offering of Westport and is conducting research and evaluation. Westport plans to launch an initial public offering (IPO) in the near future and formally list it to prepare for the expansion of the port for US$27 million, especially for the construction of integrated function ports, improving port service functions and enhancing the port's overall competitiveness.

Before 2018, the first drop of oil will be produced in the oil field in Block A of the Cambodian Sea. The oil reserves will reach 700 million barrels. Such abundant resources have prompted the local government to attach great importance to the country's infrastructure projects. Port construction is particularly important. Very smooth, looking forward to follow-up of the project.
